About the role
CodeChef is seeking people who can deliver Computer Science learning content, starting from designing the curriculum to developing the whole content. As a learning platform, our mission is to help people learn computer science in an engaging and effective way.
This is primarily an individual contributor role. You will also work with other stakeholders such as reviewers, and engineering / product teams on a periodic basis to understand user problems, ideate solutions, and iterate on them to come up with engaging learning content in the best possible format.
Key Responsibilities:
- Generate curriculum plans for upcoming courses in DSA, Web development, Data analytics and visualisation, Full-stack development, to be a part of our Learn catalogue (https://www.codechef.com/learn).
- Create fun and engaging courses to ensure long-term learning for users. This will involve written content, interactive elements like problems, MCQs, etc, and assessments.
- Get the content reviewed by external experts and beta test with existing users.
- Conduct user research to understand areas of improvement in existing content and curriculum and identify new courses for development.
Required Skills:
- Strong interest in learning. In a lot of cases - you may not be an expert in the subject. However, you should have the willingness to learn the practical aspects of the subjects as part of creating the curriculum.
- Stronger interest in teaching - ensuring that the user has truly benefited from courses created by you. Empathy towards users to identify their needs and solve their pain points
- Technical and functional knowledge in multiple of these course categories - DSA, Analytics, Web development, Machine learning.
Good to Have:
- 2* or above on CodeChef
- Relevant work experience preferred
