The complete schedule of ACM ICPC 2016 - 2017 can be downloaded here.
There is a change in the format of the ACM ICPC 2016 - 2017 Indian regionals. Starting this year, there will be 5 sites within India hosting the ICPC regionals. The 4 regional sites are - Amritapuri, Hindustan University, National Institute of Technical Teachers' Training and Research, Kolkata and IIT Kharagpur. On top of these, there will be an additional “India Final” to be held at IIITM Gwalior. Teams will be moving to the World Finals from all the 5 sites. Here’s everything you need to know about participation in Indian regionals.
- Participants need to register on the Baylor Site to be eligible to take part in the contest. Click here to register.
- There will only be one online round for all the 4 India regionals. There will not be any online round for “India-Final” held at IIITM Gwalior.
- You must not register your team for more than two sites, as that will lead to your disqualification from all regionals. However, registration in “India Final” is exempt from this restriction.
- A team in Asia can take part in regionals for 5 years (and not 5 regionals).
- Based on performance of the online round, each regional site will decide on the number of teams to be invited for the on-site round.
- Preference will be given to maximize the number of colleges participating in the on-site round.
- Each regional site will have a few slots booked for advancing the top teams to the World Finals based on the performance of the teams in their on-site rounds. It is applicable for the “India Final” as well. More information on India Final can be found here: http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_b946da100102wvei.html.
- The teams for India Final will be selected directly from the onsite rounds of the 4 regional sites. Where “n” (the final number may vary from site to site) number of teams from each regional site will be allowed to take part in India Final thus giving them another shot at a slot to World Finals.
- Participation in India Final will not be counted toward the restrictions of two Asia Regional Contests per year. This means that even if you have participated in two onsite regionals, you still can register and take part in India Final. However, if you do not register for the India Final, then your candidature will be invalid even if you are in the top “n” teams on a regional site and qualify for the India Final.
- Non-India West Continent teams may compete for World Final slots in any India contest sites. However, Non-India team competing for World Final slots in India-Final Contest site requires the approval from Hosting Committee of India-Final.
