One of the aims at CodeChef for Schools is to foster learning and growth among school children who are interested in programming. We are hence, glad to collaborate with the Indian Computing Olympiad (ICO) as a community partner and an exam partner for INOI (Indian National Olympiad in Informatics).
About ICO 2021
Started in 2002, the Indian Computing Olympiad (ICO) is a nationwide programming competition held annually by the Indian Association For Research In Computing Science (IARCS). The goal of the coding competition is to identify Indian school students with outstanding skills in algorithms and computer programming.
This coding competition is used to select the top four students, which then go on to represent India at the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI). Started in May 1989, by UNESCO, IOI is one of the most prestigious computer science competitions in the world. The primary aim of the contest is to stimulate the interest of secondary school students in informatics and information technology.
The Indian Computing Olympiad which eventually leads up to IOI is a three-stage competition.
Students interested in the coding competition can refer to the Registration page for more details. If you are interested but unsure about the preparation, head over to our Resources section for useful links and resources.
